Hearty Meat Sauce

As the weather cools, try a hearty meat sauce to take your pasta to the next level. This is a simple recipe that is sure to make the whole family ask for seconds.

This recipe uses our freshly made Paccheri-shaped pasta. You can only buy this pasta at local Farmer's markets! Of course, you can always use our dried pasta instead. We suggest our Cavaliere Lumache.


5-7 medium tomatoes, roughly chopped*
1 lb grass-fed ground beef
4 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried basil
1/4 cup pasta water


Add olive oil to a pan. Warm. Add garlic and cook until soft and fragrant. Add ground meat and cook until browned.

Add tomatoes and dried basil. Cook until tomatoes are soft. Use pasta water as needed to retain the consistency of the sauce you prefer.

*If you want to make this recipe really easy, substitute 1 jar of your favorite tomato sauce for the fresh tomatoes.

Toss newly cooked pasta in warm sauce. Enjoy!
